Tuff-Boy #1107 is a breathable water repellent that combines micronized acrylic and siloxane resins that penetrate into the sub-surface of concrete or masonry to bind the substrate down and impart excellent water repellency. By preventing water from entering into the substrate, #1107 will help protect masonry substrates against spalling, cracking, efflorescence, and other types of damage typically caused by water intrusion. #1107 is excellent for reinforcing the surfaces of old brick and mortar that have been damaged by repeated cycles of freezing and thawing and helping to prevent water intrusion through the mortar. #1107 will also minimize the leaching and migration of typical masonry discolorants such as calcium, sodium, and potassium salts. #1107 is easy to apply, low odor, and low VOC*.

This product is resistant to alkali and efflorescence and may be applied to concrete/masonry that is a minimum of 7 days old, preferably 30 days old, with a pH above 6 and below 13(See Surface Preparation). Excellent adhesion, ease of application, and good color retention are other outstanding features of this product. Due to the high solids, high film build of this product, #17-200 repels wind driven rain and keeps the substrate dry. #17-200 also prevents moisture from building up underneath the coating film by allowing interior water vapor to escape through the “breathable” paint film. This premium paint has been formulated to have good cold temperature touch-up.
